New Hedge Counterparty for Investment Property client

On this occasion, an investment property client borrowed additional funds from its bank for a new investment and wanted to purchase an interest rate cap to protect its medium term cost of borrowing.

Unhappy with the price it received from its relationship bank, our client approached us to source a cheaper hedge counterparty. Having marketed the opportunity to several prospective providers, we selected the most appropriate provider based on set criteria that included price, rating and potential for long term relationship.

We then managed the administrative process of onboarding the client with the bank and arranged a competitive tender for the hedge which resulted in a significant cost saving for our client
