Renegotiation of key term in Lending Documentation for Sponsor of Wind Farm Project

We were originally brought in to work with our client, a sponsor of a wind farm, to advise them on the interest rate swap, a condition of the euro denominated loan. However, we quickly identified that the imposition of an adverse term in the loan documentation created a mismatch between the loan and the swap that could have potentially cost the client in excess of €0.25m.

We played a significant role in the renegotiation of this adverse term and generated further cost savings for the client on the hedge execution by benchmarking the bank’s price.
